since you have now stopped allowing for new ribbit numbers to be added to accounts please consider opening up inbound SIP connections so that we can bring our own third party DIDs.

i have to say that the usefullness of ribbit moble to me has rapidly decreased over the weeks/months i have been using it. first we lost the ability to add new SIP endpoint devices(by far my preferred endpoint) now it appears that ribbit numbers have been discontinued.

especially while still in beta i believe many users are reluctant to tightly pair up ribbit mobile with there cell phones and would prefer to test out its features on a more standalone basis. the ribbit numbers(DIDs) and SIP endpoints are what makes this standalone usage practical.

After reading a voice mail email, is there a way to delete the voice mail from my mailbox without having to go back to listen to it?

There is no software development underway to make the Ribbit "Jingle" optional. The one way to bypass the default IVR greeting is to record your own "short" personal greeting ... the record beep will follow immediately.

Hope that helps,

Mike

currently we can set the outbound caller ID to our ribbit numbers and the numbers of phones we have forwarded as 'in devices.' please add the capability for us to add the 'out devices' that we answer calls on as caller ID options as well. i would like to use my ribbit connected SIP phone and the flash based webphone to place calls that show my regular landline or other number as caller ID.

i would like to add that it has been this issue alone that has kept me from switching to ribbit as my primary voice mail and VOIP phone service.

as long as callers are presented with these greeting the voicemail and inbound numbers are of very little use to me. the service is pretty much useful only as a way to place outbound calls from a SIP device as it stands. please provide an option for callers to hear a simple ring tone. i should be the only one aware of the phone system being used not the people who call me.

thanks

Thomas

It is almost a year since a similar question had been asked as shown here, yet no efforts have been made to honor the request. So, here I go again.

Ten out of ten people who called my Ribbit number all said bad things about the call presentation provided by Ribbit. So, is there a way to disable or completely turn off the call presentation? This way when a caller calls my number, s/he will hear normal ring tones instead of the obnoxious IVR from Ribbit.
